Red Springs won earlier matchup of two talented teams

The baseball championship game in Red Springs on Thursday night certainly lived up to expectations as the West Robeson Americans topped Red Springs 3-2 in an exciting and closely fought contest. In fact, the game was a joy to watch for any parent or baseball enthusiast since it featured two very talented, disciplined, and well-coached teams of 11-12 year-olds. Although the West Robeson Americans won Thursday night's championship game, Red Springs won the earlier tournament matchup of the two teams, making it fitting that both teams gained the right to participate in the state tournament that begins on July 20th in Dunn, NC.
