Lumberton Americans shock WR Nationals

Down 6-0, Lumberton scored 15 runs in the 5th inning

In what may turn out to be the most dramatic comeback game of the tournament, the Lumberton Americans scored 15 runs in the 5th inning to eliminate the West Robeson Nationals by a final score of 17-9. The West Robeson Nationals had scored six runs in the first inning to establish a lead that disappeared in the 5th inning.

Youth Baseball
With the bases loaded, Lumberton's Zack Pittman drills a triple to right field (ball in upper right corner of image) during the 5th inning. Lumberton went on to score 15 runs in the 5th inning to take an insurmountable 15-6 lead in the game. Zach Pittman batted twice in the inning and gained a triple, a single, four RBIs, and two runs scored.
