Scotland baseball falls to Elizabethtown
Opponent's flurry of runs in 6th inning dooms comeback hopes
Trailing 3-1 after five innings, Scotland fans were cheering for their team to make a comeback in Sunday's game against Elizabethtown. However, the top of the 6th inning put a damper on those hopes as Elizabethtown began piling up runs on the scoreboard. The loss eliminates Scotland from the tournament, while Elizabethtown, with one earlier loss, will play their next game on Tuesday against the winner of Monday's game between Red Springs and the Lumberton Nationals.
