Girl Killed in Funeral Procession Crash
Soldier charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle

Several news outlets, including WRAL (www.wral.com), are reporting on the tragic death on Friday of Cheyenne Thomas, age 9, from Ash in Brunswick County, when a truck crossed the center line of Highway 211 in Hoke County and crashed into a funeral procession.
The girl was riding in one of the limos that was part of a funeral procession for her grandmother. The WRAL report indicates that David Deming, age 32, has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.
