	Photo draws criticism - misunderstanding Younger people are familiar with "funny face" poses for photos, but for some older folks it has caused some misunderstanding. The South View cheerleaders' photo shown on our website was NOT an attempt by the cheerleaders to mock the Hoke football fans. In fact, the cheerleaders had come over to visit the Hoke side of the field as a friendly gesture. We asked them to pose for us. Younger people understand that "funny faces" are for fun, not for mocking.
	Hoke High football drops turkey bowl On a warm evening that threatened rain, but stayed dry, the Hoke High School football team was toppled by undefeated South View in the 2007 Turkey Bowl. 	Hoke High football comeback falls short The Hoke football team made an inspiring comeback in the second half as the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls barely held on to secure a 21-20 victory over the Fighting Bucks. Trailing 21-6 at the beginning of the second half, Hoke took charge of the game and held E.E. 	Leland wins championship ages 11-12 Leland and Hope Mills American advanced to the Dunn state tournament finals. Leland topped Hope Mills and will go to the World Series.
	Leland & West Robeson win at Eden, NC The West Robeson Americans and Leland, ages 9-10, advance to the Eden tournament finals. Leland's win puts them in the Dixie World Series.
	W. Robeson Americans win RS Tournament The West Robeson Americans won the Dixie Youth Red Springs Tournament. West Robeson and Red Springs advance to the state tournament.
	Lumberton wins Raeford Tournament Lumberton came from behind in spectacular fashion to defeat West Robeson and win the Dixie AAA tournament in Raeford.
	Hoke Dixie comeback falls just short The Hoke youth baseball team, ages 9-10, falls short in a remarkable and spirited comeback effort in tournament game.
	Hoke drops Saturday doubleheader The Hoke American Legion team drops both games of a doubleheader to the Scotland team.
	Hoke team picks up conference win The Hoke American Legion team got off to a quick start and defeated Scotland, 7-3, for a conference win.
