Hoke soccer season comes to end in Apex

The Hoke High School varsity soccer team's season came to an end on Saturday night in Apex, NC. The Apex High School soccer team defeated the Fighting Bucks to advance to the next round of the state playoffs.

Westover tops Hoke in defensive struggle

Westover scored on a touchdown run in the third quarter to gain a 6-0 victory in a tough defensive struggle with the Hoke High School football team. Hoke's A'Mario Sinclair, who gained 80 yards rushing, accumulated more yardage than the entire Westover offense. However, Westover put points on the board and limped away with the hard-earned victory. Pinecrest will visit Raeford next Friday for Hoke's homecoming game.

Hoke fights back to defeat Falcons 14-13

Trailing 13-0 at half-time, the Hoke Fighting Bucks football team made an exciting comeback in the second half to defeat the Seventy-First Falcons 14-13. A'Mario Sinclair and Eric Wolff each scored touchdown runs, while LaDarrian Beatty caught a pass from Gregory Bryant for a successful two-point conversion in the 4th quarter that provided the margin of victory. Hoke's Jerrel Inman electrified the Hoke players and fans in the final minutes of the game with a pass interception and 29-yard return to seal the victory for the Fighting Buck. More ...
