Hoke Girls Basketball wins opener 65-48The Hoke High School girls varsity basketball team got their 2007-2008 season off to a winning start with a 65-48 victory over the E.E. Smith Golden Bullls in Fayetteville on Tuesday evening. Hoke's Shamia Brown led all scorers with an eye-popping 36 points. Emily McLaughlin scored 12 points for the Fighting Bucks. The E.E. Smith team will get their opportunity to bounce back on Monday evening when they visit Hoke High School for another game against Hoke, beginning at 6:00 pm. |
