Military Day at Rockfish Hoke Elementary
Special day of energy, excitement, and learning
The "Military Day" program at Rockfish Hoke Elementary was full of energy and excitement, beginning with the 82nd Airborne's drop into the school's field and finishing with the 5th-graders rope tug-of-war.
General Horst of Ft. Bragg spoke to the students in the morning to help kick off the school's May 24th event.
As students, teachers, and soldiers wandered through the various activities and demonstrations, it was the bomb disposal robot that drew the most puzzled stares, while the rope tug of war drew the loudest cheers.
