Fort Bragg Yule Mart on Nov. 16th-18thThe annual Yule Mart Craft Fair Fundraiser will be held on Nov. 16-18 at the Lee Physical Fitness Center on Reilly Rd., Ft. Bragg. (From 10am to 7pm on the 16th, 9am to 6pm on the 17th, and noon to 5pm on the 18th.) Patrons, volunteers, and 70+ talented craftspersons participate in Yule Mart. The funds raised from the event go to community programs and charities. The event is open to the public. Admission is $3. Free for children 10 and under. (link to www.fbaosc.org) |

Memorial Day event held in RaefordThe Hoke County Memorial Day ceremony for 2007 was held in front of the courthouse in downtown Raeford. The featured speaker was Chaplain (LTC-Retired) Richard C. Jackson who is presently serving as pastor of Sandy Grove and Parker United Methodist churches of the Fayetteville District. Fun-filled military day at local schoolThe military day program at Rockfish Hoke Elementary was full of energy and excitement, beginning with the 82nd Airborne's drop into the school's field and finishing with the 5th-graders rope tug-of-war.
