Computers popular at downtown library

Library patrons research jobs and education options

After walking into the Hoke County Public Library in downtown Raeford it takes only seconds to identify the most popular activity.

All of the computers clustered in the center of the library are being used and several people sitting nearby are waiting for a turn.

The most common computer tasks performed by library patrons seem to be checking email, doing homework, searching for jobs, and preparing resumes and cover letters.

Students interested in attending college or enrolling in online classes say that use of the internet is the best way to search and evaluate their education options.
