Lumberton Wins Baseball Championship in Raeford

West Robeson jumps ahead 4-0, Lumberton roars back to win 5-4

With the score tied 4-4, both teams made brilliant defensive plays that kept the score tied and pushed the game into an extra inning.

Playing at third base, Lumberton's Dylan Floyd fielded a hard-hit ball that looked like it would bounce over his head. He then fired the ball to Mack Kenney at first base to throw out the batter.

West Robeson's left fielder, D.J. Lowry, raced over to catch a hard-hit line drive near the left field line in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Lumberton pulled off a spectacular double play on an infield grounder, going from pitcher Austin Swidersky, to Tyler Musselwhite covering second base, and then to Mack Kenney at first base.
