by Tom McKinney
The South View Tigers demonstrated why they remain unbeaten this season as they defeated the Hoke Fighting Bucks 25-8 to win the 2007 turkey bowl. Hoke scored in the 4th quarter when quarterback Gregory Bryant raced 66 yards for a touchdown. LaDarrian Beatty caught a pass from Bryant for the successful 2-point conversion.
South View led 13-0 at the end of the first half and scored two more touchdowns in the second half of play as their steady and unrelenting offense kept the Hoke defense on the field for much of the game.
