Hoke Varsity Baseball plays final game of 2008

Richmond County defeats the Fighting Bucks 9-2 in Raeford

Richmond County defeated the Hoke Varsity Baseball team 9-2 in a game played on Friday at Hoke High School. Luis Renvill provided Hoke with its best hit of the night when he blasted a triple over the centerfielder's head to drive in the team's first run of the game. He scored several minutes later on a wild pitch.

Last summer, most of the Hoke baseball players participated in American Legion baseball. However, it is uncertain if Hoke will field a team this year due to the difficulty in finding a summer coach.
