Hope Mills defeats Tryon 8-2

State tournament begins with all teams playing on July 14-15th

Down by a score of 7-0, Tryon scored two runs in the 4th inning but was unable to maintain the momentum to make a comeback. Hope Mills held on for the 8-2 victory in the first game of the tournament in Eden.

Hope Mills will play West Robeson at 7pm on Sunday, while Tryon plays Dunn at 3pm.
