by Tom McKinney
The game ended on a brilliant defensive play as Leland's Travis Oliver made a spectacular throw from right field to catcher Tyler Lewis to tag out a startled baserunner at home plate as Hope Mills threatened to score in the bottom of the 6th inning. As the umpire decisively signaled that the runner was out and the game over, the overjoyed Leland players and coaches raced to the infield to mob and hug each other as their delighted fans screamed and cheered.
