Hope Mills jumped to an early lead and held on to defeat Kings Mountain on Thursday evening in Dunn, NC. Justin Quick hit a two-run homer in the 1st inning, while Tyler Holt belted a solo homer in the 2nd inning, as Hope Mills built a 5-1 lead after the first two innings. Kings Mountain kept trying to chip away at the early deficit, but fell short in the end by a score of 6-4. Hope Mills now faces Leland in a "best two-out-of-three" competition for the championship.
