by Tom McKinney
The Hope Mills win over West Robeson 11-0 on Monday, combined with the Kings Mountain 6-5 victory over Dunn, has set the stage for a great baseball rematch - Hope Mills versus Dunn. Sunday's game between these two talented teams was certainly one of the most thrilling games of the tournament. It also seemed like a home run derby, with Scott Skrzydlinski and Kevan Fox both drilling home runs for Hope Mills, while the Dunn baseball team's Riley Baggett hit two home runs, Ryan Barefoot hit a grand slam home run, and Taylor Emory hit the game-winning three-run homer. The much-anticipated rematch begins at 5:30 pm at Tyler Park in Dunn.
